Untroubled in Troubling Times
We are living in a moment that the Bible saw coming long before any of us were born. In Matthew 24, Jesus sits with his disciples on the Mount of Olives and answers one of the most pressing questions ever asked: what will be the defining sign of the last days? His answer is not what many might expect. He does not point first to wars, earthquakes, or famines, though he addresses all of those. He points to deception. That single word carries enormous weight, because it means that the greatest danger we face in these times is not external catastrophe but internal drift, a slow wandering away from the truth of God's Word. This message calls us to recognize that drift for what it is and to plant our feet firmly on Scripture. The world around us is growing louder and more chaotic, and the pressure on our minds is real and relentless. But we do not have to be swept away by it. Jesus himself tells us in verse six to see to it that we are not troubled, which means that an untroubled life is not an accident. It is a decision, made daily, to stay rooted in faith and anchored in the Word. That decision changes everything.
